About Our Accelerator Program
Launched in March 2018, the Uptown Accelerator Program (UAP) is a tailored acceleration program for both early and growth stage startups plan to develop and expand into Hong Kong and Korea markets. Uptown will provide resources and support adapting into local market, mentorship, introducing strategic business relations and essential startup resources in areas such as market entries, regulatory obligations, and joint-venture opportunities.
Our goals are to work with your startup to gain business traction and help to raise appropriate funding to fit in as quickly as possible, eventually providing showcases to Uptown’s investor network (angel investors and venture capitals). Where there are alignments, Uptown may invest or invite other interesting parties to co-invest.

Who do we invest in?
While there are no hard and fast rules, we keep an eye out for companies that:
· have a focused Founder(s) with a clear vision
· have been established for at least 1 year
· are in early and/or growth stage
· are based in Hong Kong and/or South Korea
How do we judge entries?
We judge the start-ups by looking for market risk, competitive risk, financing risk, execution risk, team risk and exit risk.
What support is provided?
We provide comprehensive support and mentorship for startups to expand into overseas markets, including challenges of localisation, marketing, legal, recruitment, office space and funding.
